Understand The Process

What is AYUSH Counselling?

AYUSH Counselling is the admission process for undergraduate and postgraduate courses in India's traditional and alternative systems of medicine — Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy — collectively known as AYUSH.

Admission is based on your NEET-UG (for UG courses) or NEET-PG/relevant PG entrance score. Seats are filled through two parallel processes: the AYUSH Admissions Central Counselling Committee (AACCC), which handles central pool, deemed university and central institute seats, and State AYUSH Counselling Cells, which manage state quota seats in government and private AYUSH colleges.

At Prarambh Global Solutions PVT Ltd, we simplify this dual process for you — helping you choose the right course and college, complete both central and state registrations correctly, and stay on top of every round and deadline.

Step by Step

How AYUSH Counselling Works

Two parallel counselling tracks run for AYUSH admission — here's how each one proceeds.

NEET-UG Qualification

Appear for NEET-UG and secure a qualifying score and rank within the eligible range for AYUSH courses.

Register for AACCC and/or State Cell

Register on the AACCC portal for central seats and separately on your state's AYUSH counselling portal for state quota seats.

Choice Filling & Verification

Fill and prioritise your preferred colleges and courses, then complete document verification as required.

Seat Allotment & Reporting

Once allotted, confirm your seat, pay the prescribed fee and report to the institute within the deadline.

Know The Difference

AACCC vs State AYUSH Counselling

Both run in parallel — you may be eligible to register for one or both depending on the seats you're targeting.

AACCC (Central)

Handles admission to central institutes like AIIA and NIA, deemed university seats and the central pool quota — open to candidates from any state.

Learn More

State AYUSH Counselling

Managed independently by each state's AYUSH counselling authority.

  • Covers state government and private AYUSH college seats
  • Domicile or residency proof usually required
  • Reservation as per state government policy
  • Separate registration and schedule from AACCC

Choosing Between Them

1 Check which colleges you're targeting and which counselling body handles their seats
2 Register for both tracks if you're eligible, to maximise your options
3 Track both schedules carefully — rounds and deadlines rarely align
